Tata1980年12月14日出生在泰國Amita Marie Young，她的父親是美國人、母親是泰國人，她是他們唯一的女兒。在她的孩提時代，Tata就顯示出了在音樂、舞蹈方面的天才。在11歲時，Tata就憑借一首“Catch Me I’m Falling”擊敗了5300個競爭對手摘得了泰國全國青年歌唱比賽國際組的桂冠。這次勝利為她贏得了與Yamaha音樂的合約，開始為演藝事業(yè)作準(zhǔn)備。之后，在1994年這個14歲的小姑娘吸引了Grammy娛樂（泰國最大的娛樂公司）星探的眼球，與她簽訂了唱片合同。 在短短的一年內(nèi)，Tata便完成了她第一張?zhí)┱Z專輯《Amita Tata Young》的錄制與發(fā)行。這張專輯的排名在榜單上迅速竄升并在不到5個月內(nèi)銷售出了超過100萬張。幾乎在一夜之間，15歲的Tata Young便成了泰國流行音樂的最佳代言人。被泰國媒體譽(yù)為年度最佳藝人，榮獲泰國Radio Vote Awards年度最佳歌唱藝人，年度最佳音樂電視，包攬年度最佳單曲的第一、第二位，憑借《Amita Tata Young》獲得年度最佳專輯獎
